This is a quick note and long overdue post. As many of you know, I went away in April for a wonderful retreat. Unfortunately, after two weeks I became quite sick and developed pneumonia and came home early to recuperate.
However, despite having fully recuperated I remained absent from the blog. After several weeks of contemplation I decided it is time to put Indigo Spider on hiatus. Over the last several years I have been on a journey, attempting to discover who I am, what I want, where I belong and the blog was an outlet to vent and receive much-needed feedback on many things, including writing.
Now, while I continue my journey, blogging lost the initial enjoyment. I no longer have the enthusiasm and the blog is suffering, has suffered for a while. Instead of sitting in front of the computer I am out in the world taking care of myself in different ways. Sadly, I feel tied down, obligated to post, and that is not what I want for the blog nor is it fair to readers.
I want to thank all the fantastic readers who have left me heartfelt comments over the years. I want to thank Dave Farmer who kept Sunday Picture Press going for April as well as providing tremendous support, feedback and just being an all around nice guy. I want to thank Ditrie Sanchez for her monthly column. I want to thank each writer who ever took the time to take part in Sunday Picture Press and share their wonderful stories.
The blog will stay in place for several months. I have no idea how long the hiatus will last. Indigo Spider may return in the fall, in a year, or it may disappear forever. I owed this last post to all the supporters and I wish everyone success, health and happiness in their life.
Sincerely,
Marita aka Indigo Spider
